I am “Salsa Bruja” (salsa witch). My roots are Mexican, and my recipes date back from long ago to the Aztecs. A molcajete is a large mortar and pestle made from volcanic stone used to prepare Mexican food, particularly salsas. The word “molcajete” comes from the Aztec words "molli" which means "seasoning" or "sauce" and "caxitl" which means "bowl". These recipes have been passed over many generations within my family for you all to enjoy.
